At C&K Plumbing, we combine years of plumbing experience with advanced water
leak detector equipment that uses the tracer gas technique to quickly and reliably locate
even the smallest water leaks in underground, underfloor, and in-wall pipes.
Our equipment readily detects water leaks in underground plastic or metal piping. Leaks
are detected under different types of soils, grass, or stone pavements with high
reliability and at a significant depth. High sensor sensitivity allows fast detection of the
smallest water leaks under wooden, ceramic tile and other types of flooring.
How the Technology Works
Gas Injection: A non-toxic, non-flammable hydrogen-nitrogen tracer blend is pressurized
into an isolated, drained, or active piping system.
Molecular Escape: Tiny hydrogen molecules slip through micro-cracks, pinholes, or
faulty joints and rise straight through dirt, tile, or concrete slabs.
Surface Detection: An ultra-sensitive handheld sensor wand sweeps the surface,
measuring parts-per-million (PPM) concentrations to zero in on the highest gas
concentration
.
Key Benefits & Capabilities
Pinpoint Accuracy: Locates leaks within inches, avoiding destructive and unnecessary
guesswork or trenching.
Deep Penetration: Capable of finding leaks buried under more than 10 feet of earth or
thick foundations.
If you have received an alert from your city’s smart-meter system, or you see damp
areas in your yard or home, don’t hesitate to call us for assistance locating and
repairing the leak!
